Press conference after the match between Mornar and Unics

Priftios Dimitros, Uniks head coach: I would like to thank everyone at Mornar for their hospitality. I also want to congratulate them on their Eurocup debut. I know it’s not easy to be a debutant, but Mornar deserves to be in this competition and I wish them the best of luck. Regarding the game, I’m happy with the team’s effort. We tried to consistently keep a strong and aggressive defense, which got us easy points.

We’re always very ambitious at Eurocup. We have a long roster, so we can combine it and survive the long season. We had a difficult tournament in Moscow and an exhausting trip prior to this match.

Mihailo Pavićević, Mornar head coach: I already said before tonight’s game, that Uniks was the absolute favorite. They played a very compact defense and achieved many easy points. We were not able to follow their rhythm and I congratulate them on their deserved win.

Our primary goal is the ABA league, to be even better and more competitive there. I hope that other games in the Eurocup will help us remain competitive in regional competitions. The team is still coming together and we need time to settle in.
