Mornar Bar playing against UNICS for the second time in Round 6 Group D EuroCup.
After a long journey, Mornar team arrived in Kazan this Tuesday early in the morning, where a match with the local Unix awaits tomorrow evening, Wednesday the 7th of November. The Russian team beat Mornar in Bar by 97-74.
Mornar Assistant Coach Đorđije Pavićević said that his team will be relaxed against one of the main favourites to win this competition.
“It is needless to say that UNICS is one of the best quality teams in the EuroCup. We will aim to play better than we did in Bar at the beginning of the season. We also want to look into who is in the necessary shape for Sunday, that is, for the ABA League, when we will be hosting Budućnost. The Russians are good hosts, they returned the hospitality they enjoyed in Bar in the best possible way, and we feel great here. We expect the audience will enjoy a good quality match” said the younger of the two Pavićević brothers on Mornar’s bench.
Strahinja Mićović said that, as usual, Mornar plays well when there is nothing to lose.
“Of course, UNICS is the absolute favourite. We saw in Bar that they are a powerful team. The easiest matches are those when no one expects you to win, and, we always play well when we have little to lose. I hope this will be the case in the match against UNICS, too.”
Following an injury, Marko Mugoša will not be playing for Mornar against Unix.
Meanwhile in Bar, Mornar is expecting two new strong additions: Bobby Brown is arriving tonight, whereas Landing Sane is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s (Wednesday) match UNICS – Mornar starts at 6 PM.
