Mornar finishes the European season in Vilnius.

Mornar are saying farewell to the EuroCup tomorrow. In Group D of the second largest European championship, Mornar scored two wins, and regardless of the outcome of tomorrow’s match against Ritas in Vilnius, they will finish the competition in fifth place. Behind them is Fiat from Turin, which they defeated twice.

The team from Bar had another tiring journey ahead of the most important game in the ABA League, against Petrol Olimpia, and Krka at home. The team took three flights on their way to Lithuania: from Podgorica to Belgrade, to Warsaw, and finally to Vilnius.

-Our goal is to say goodbye to Europe for this season with dignity, and to give our new addition, Malcolm Grant, another opportunity to find his feet, given that he becomes eligible to play for Mornar in the ABA League in the match against Petrol Olimpia, said Mornar’s assistant coach Ljubomir Vujačić.

While Mornar staff still cannot count on the injured Marko Mugoša, the remainder of the team are playing at full strength.

-Perhaps this match is well-timed ahead of the two matches against the Slovene teams in the ABA league, given that our place in the competition will not be affected by the result. The only difficult thing was the long and tiring journey. Ritas is, clearly, the favourite, they were better in Bar (92:69), but we will do our best to finish our European year well – said Mornar playmaker Nikola Rebić

Tomorrow’s (Wednesday) match against Ritas and Mornar starts at 6 PM.
